@brettmess24 so what's your opinion of the new door speakers? I've heard the sub is night and day but is there an incredible difference with the door speakers?

The sub is absolutely night and day!

I was going to install the speakers yesterday but ran out of time. Will be installing this week. They will be worth it if I get more mid-range out of them.

Will report back once I finish the install.

Such an overall improvement...not sure I even need to do the speakers now!!!

Btw don't forget to put a fuse in the fuse box attached the positive cable...spent a few mins trying to figure out why it wouldn't work til I noticed the fuse was missing.

LOL. Good catch. I have to admit I did the same thing. Turned on the radio and said, "Well Crap!" no signal. Spent probably 5 mins tracing my wiring and double checking connections before I saw the fuse. I will say the stereo has come alive. Still needs a little work, but this is one of the best upgrades I've done.

Hey question: Are these sub replacements our only option for an easier plug n play? I have this sub lying around ---> Kicker 40TCWRT124 Sealed truck enclosure with one 12" CompRT subwoofer at Crutchfield.com and a 4 channel EFX amp 600 watt. Would these be an easy replacement as well? I don't want to invest to much cash into the stereo.

If that doesn't work I'm looking for a scab replacement. sub or speakers and sub!

I don't know if your current one will work, but there was a guy selling a Scab sub and enclosure a few days ago in the garage sale thread. If not then a guy named Beau Rogel sells them online. He only sells Screw subs which have a little bigger enclosure and will stick out past your seat a little. Text +16013835580 for Beau and ask if he has and Screw kits left

I also posted the SCab one that was for sale less than a week ago... Should be able to go back a few posts and find it and see if it's still for sale...

If it helps anyone, from this harness is where you cut the green and brown connector and wiring. You are removing the harness from the stock sub and wiring it into this one.

You can see where I cut it:
