focal will get you the best sound. however they dont make a 5x7 in the line i would suggest.
jl audio makes a good drop in set.

Read that yesterday. Thanks for the taking the time to write all that up! It was very informative and explained alot of what was happening. I had a '12 Lariat with Sony and Nav and that thing would blow you out of the truck compared to my '14 Raptor. I brought my truck to the dealer before I left to go to work (offshore in Mexico) and they have ordered me a new amp. When I come in next week they are set to change it out. So after that I will be getting my speakers and installing. They loaned me a '14 Lariat while they were looking at mine and it sounded way better. Almost like my '12 did and my '12 was not modded as I bought it new. Thanks again everyone for your help and suggestions. Will update when done.

Got amp replaced yesterday. It sounds better. Still not where I want to be , so as soon as my honey-do's are done I will do my speaker upgrade. In the meantime though I plan on doing the poly-fill to my sub between coats of paint in the bedroom. I was able to sneak in a 20" light bar and will be doing a post on install and pics sometime this week in the lighting forum.

So how much are you looking at to replace the front and rear speakers with the JL sets to include install? Should you replace the amp too? I would want to leave the amp/sub in the same location
