Hi all. Wanting to upgrade my door speakers. I am wanting to install Kicker 40CSS684 components in front and rear doors. Not sure where or if I will even mount the tweeters for the back doors. Anyone have these in their truck? Not wanting to do the whole amp upgrade right now just curious about these speakers. Thanks, Jeff

While I agree with Noah that you don't need coax in the back, I installed a set of JL Audio C5-570's in the back doors of my friend's truck a few weeks back. He wanted the tweeter in the door panel. I was hesitant to drill a huge hole in the door panel but final product looks great!

That come out really good. The money part doesn't bother me (co-ax vs component) as I view this as I one time mod , unless the speaker fails. I am just wanting the best sound quality possible out of the factory unit without having to add an amp or spend a bunch of money. I'd rather put "amp" money on headers or bumpers , etc.

if you are looking for the best sounding speaker, kicker shouldnt be your first choice

I like the JL Audio ZR 650's in the front, and had a custom board made to fit the JL Audio ZR 800's (8 inch mid sub) in the rear doors, and still kept the door panel.

If not the kickers for best sound than what do you suggest for the best sound from strictly the factory system. BTW it is the Sony upgrade system. I would really like to run components in at least the front and price doesn't scare me from putting them in the back. Just not wanting to spend over 500 total on the speakers.

For that price point I would suggest JL Audio C5-570's in the front and C2-570 in the rear. I'm sure Noah can help you with more exact pricing and such.
