I am trying to add a little color here and there on my truck. Don't want to over do it, but I like the contrast a little. I have already done the red tape behind the SVT logo. Like all FUEL wheels the word is milled into one of the spokes. I was thinking I would try and fill the letters in with something to make them red. What do you guys think? I throw some red on the wheels using Microsoft paint to get an idea of what it would look like. Let me know what you think, also what would the best way to go about doing the red so that it stays on? I thought about taking the truck to a sign place and let them make up the letters, or would a brush and paint work? Thanks

It's subtle and not a bad idea. I would probably just use some touch up paint. Lay the tires flat and let the paint create a nice base and harden.

Theres an old trick done in engravings on firearms. Depending on how wide the letters are on the wheels, dab nail polish all over it, let it dry, then LIGHTLY wipe over with a paper towl dampened with nail polish remover. Dont press hard enough to push it down in the engraving. It takes a little while to do it right but the end result looks amazing. I did it on my XD-s and shot over 1,000 rounds through it since then (shooting a few hundred at a time) and its held up flawlessly to the heat. It may be one option to consider. Just dont let the wifey catch you stealing her nail polish to use on your truck!

I would try the method above described with firearms, I use it when buffing aluminum to bring back the engravings.

Found a model paint pen. After 5 or 6 coats I think it turned out good.
