So after some Faker breaking into my truck.. I bought a viper 5904 system with motion sensor and crash detection sensor..

Dont really like the big ass viper key fob.. but the nice thing is that your stock key fob can control the viper system. So you can use either one..

If your getting the viper system make sure what kinda tint you have on your truck.. cuz if it has some kinda metallic in the tint.. it will lower you sensitivity on the sensors and make your sensors go off often..

Did you lose any factory functions?

Parking lights on with remote start?
Cargo/Puddle/Interior lights on when unlock
Easy entry exit with key insert
Heater/A/C/Heated seats

I have mine on reserve and I'm doing as much research as possible

Down side is.. the viper key fob is kinda chucky..

haha, get used to it. the remotes are big. it sounds like the install was done correctly. the only way you can retain oem functions is with the d2d connections., which it appears they did. whats this about your window t

tint? i have never heard of decreased sensitivity with sensors. i have heard of decreased range because of metallic film, but nobody uses metallic film anymore.

dont worry. those serial numbers were recorded and dei has no services available for these units. priveledged information unfortunately so i can not share, but if you buy one, good luck with getting help with it.

our dei rep came in for one of his visits and i asked him about this. he told me that once these units eventually disappear, there is going to be a strict enforcement of their products available online. unfortunately since there were so many units involved it will take some time. if any of you decide to go the cheap route, do not buy the smart start. the air id has serial numbers too and they have been recorded. so if you try to have a shop activate it, you will be denied access. you will have basically paid for nothing.
