So if it rubs, what is actually the concern and risk?

Blown out fenders. Ripped up bumper.

I had 20x10 zero offset with 37s on my Gen 2 for a bit. Had to do the pinch weld mod. And that was WITH Geisers up front. I have gone back to 17x9, zero offset 37s.

Also, can’t figure out how to work the auto close on the tailgate or remote start! Checked vehicle settings and no tailgate options

Remote start is Lock, remote start button twice

Tailgate is just push twice

So I can still do 37s just with the 9.5?

There are a NUMBER of wheel and tire threads on here. Use the search function. You would need to check with the Gen 3 guys, but I believe a 17x9, zero offset with 37s will fit. Might just need front springs due to zero offset, I'm not 100% on that.
