He popped the bags off, bent the frame, broke the intercooler, and a few other front end things busted.

That stuff is amazing....

but requires probably 10-15k in upgrades to do it without breaking shit on the first jump. And blowing out airbags apparently lol.

the 10/15 is probably on the low side?

that is a really hard way to learn not to launch your raptor off of a "jump" that is shorter than the wheelbase of the truck. yikes.

I have to believe that a frame cut bumper and some extra dampening capability would have prevented most of the damage.

I think 10-15 is probably accurate. a set of ADD stock width uppers and lowers and the addition of a secondary bypass would most likely get er done.

The framecut bumper and intercooler relo would have made the lawn dart less painfull.

but at the end of the day, the most important thing is understanding what the truck will do in different terrain and understanding the physics of jumping a 6K lb truck. ( i.e. take off ramp needs to be 1-2ft longer than the truck for a smooth takeoff.

Having more weight at the rear of the truck would have also made it hurt a little less.

Why would height in the rear have it hurt less if the front hit first and hardest?
