Here it goes.

Before I start ripping out my Stereo/NAV head unit just to find out that the hard drive is under the passenger back seat. I was only able to find information on how to load to the Jukebox in the manual and online.

Does anyone know the physical location of the "jukebox" hard drive?

I was under the impression Ford did away with the Jukebox on the 2013?

I have a '12

Sorry about that. I had a 2010 and the Jukebox was part of the Sony Radio. I never thought it was a physical object to remove, it is a functional part of the radio. However, that may have changed in 2012. Wish I could have been more of a help to you.

It may be inside the head units' casing, but if information is stored somewhere there is a hard drive that saves it. The drive may be a standard hard drive like what is found in most laptops or a solid state drive similar to a flash drive.

That drive will have a file system and unless it is hardwired into the system like a tablets NVRAM. when I have it I'll be able to connect it to a computer and force my music to it or potentially upgrade it to a larger capacity.

I can not see myself burning music to disks just to rip it to the truck and then dispose of the disks.

Can't you just put your music on a USB drive and plug it into the dash? Would be much easier I think and I recall a thread about people doing that.

Too bad Ford can't make a head unit that you can copy USB to local hard drive. My 2008 SRT8 did that 5 years ago. Come on Ford, get with it.

I could, but I think it looks tacky. I don't like wires dangling around or flash drives protruding from three console.

I'd rather re-wire the USB into the armrest center console. Somewhere near the 12v plug
