Yep it’s between them and Whipple and Whipple you can never go back so JDM is the winner I’m using it and it works great also I’ve got over 5000 miles on mine and I drive it like a banshee in SoCal The only mod is the Whipple inter cooler I’ve been monitoring my temperatures with the SCT device since day one and I’m not seeing any substantial temperature change that’s worth the effort to put that cooler in and plus you lose the sealing effect of the stock one!
Wait, so you're saying the IC doesn't help us here in So Cal? really was hoping it would help us cool off the air especially not using the better octane. :(

1 you lose the air dam affect when you take the stock cooler off And that forces the air through it.
2 it’s three or four times heavier so you’re adding weight to your vehicle.
3 using the SCT device monitoring the intake air temperature I never saw a substantial advantage and I checked out the stock cooler versus the whipple cooler. I’ve seen the BS that people put up on their websites and I don’t believe it!
4 if something goes wrong with the motor they could blame it on the intercooler
You decide Good luck

LOL.. that's a lot 'o negative brownie points. No wonder i was in no rush for it.
Glad you pointed all that out as I was thinking of that whole 'forced' path. but the new ones are supposed to be bigger capacity to make up for that. Guess our hot smoggy air here wins that little battle.. have to go wild to get it worthy of any cooling off..

He didn't say that at all. Not sure where you got that from.
ookkkayy... he did say it wasn't enough/worth the change. saw only a few degrees.. i would be expecting a little more from a AF cooler. they all advertise it's **% bigger and more flow. So one would "assume" (yes, i know..) that it would make a substantial difference..
sorry, wasn't trying to make it like he lied or something like that.
being is so cal where the heat is usually intense during most months, i was dreaming of an IC that would help more than 2-3*.. that's all

Well he did say that that he has the whipple IC, which is MILES better than the OEM intercooler. Maybe you missed that part?

yes, you are absolutely right. He did say he has it... don't see where he said it was MILES better...hence the comment of ' not worth the install... for a few degrees '
so, yeah, guess I missed that part.. why are you so stuck on that? did i hurt your feelings cause you have one? geez..
sorry if a little sarcasm doesn't make sense to you

i'm not stuck on anything, you fail basic reading, I pointed that out and now you're butt sore. Get over it. The fact is, an FMIC isn't a big improvement over his whipple IC. And I said the whipple is miles better than OEM, not him. You really should have stayed in school, seems hard for you to keep up.
