This past weekend I took the new SCREW out for a little fun. Went out to Mojave, CA and headed up to Last Chance Canyon, Jawbone, and Dove Springs.

Towing was great. Biggest noted change is the extra power from the 6.2. I got a whopping 10mpg towing. A little better then the old 5.4.

As for offroad use, I feel the truck handled the whoops better and seemed to have more stable control on the dirt. The only down fall is the breakover angles. The added length did cause the bottom to rub just a bit but nothing too major.

Looks like it was a fun trip Chad! I'm glad you didn't waste any time getting it dirty!

off topic question... does the SCREW still have a one piece driveshaft or did they go to a carrier bearing set up?

Looks like it was fun trip.

What is the history on the abandoned camp?

That is a big pipeline! Is it used for water?
