Currently out of town, but my girlfriend received Method's package and opened it up. They sent a replacement wheel with its hardware, and new rings and bolts for the other wheels. Class act customer service. I never asked for anything, I Just explained the situation.

I just spoke with Method again and to make a long store short, the wheels came with the wrong bolts. Approximately 1/4" too long, hence the shearing effect.

interesting, after seeing these on your truck i was considering getting them, but not sure i want to watch them fall apart, I think I'll continue to follow along to see if you have any more issues.

They are solid built and Method has be solid as well. They had a couple changes before the production hit the consumer and I just received the wrong bolts. Everything should be square, but I'll update if there are any issues.

I guess I don't understand why they sheared? It seems that if they could be torqued properly and didn't bottom out in the wheel threads, leaving excessive clearance between the wheel and ring that it shouldn't have mattered if they were too long. I wouldn't think the bolts bottomed out in the wheel threads because you were able to clamp the tire and it didn't leak.

Was it only this one wheel that had longer bolts? Also, just out of curiosity, are these torqued in steps and what's the final torque?
