Well that’s pure ********. The Pro Eagle 3-ton jack is proven to be one of the best available for our trucks. If you owned one you would know, but you don’t. I’ve never once been sorry for buying the very best of anything, I have been sorry for trying to save a few dollars and purchasing cheap crap. A high quality jack like any other high quality tool is a lifetime purchase.

.

bet they look nice next to your $1,000 power washer

I am hating admitting this but the pro eagle is rising on my list of to get items. G*d it’s going to hurt to spend that kind of money on a floor jack but as pointed out, cheating out on a jack purchase is a recipe for future frustration at best.

My Simpson power washer was about $1500 and sits next to my Kubota FEL/BH diesel tractor and my John Deere lawn tractor in my shed where they belong. My Pro Eagle jack is in my garage with both of my car lifts and other tools. Have not had a single negative thought about purchasing any of them and I’m sure they will still be here when I’m not.

Some people are just cheap by nature (they can't help it) and will never grasp this concept.

scroll up.

no one can justify spending 500 on a jack (except that one guy) because it's stupid and unneeded.

have a set of 6 ton jack stands on the way to go with the ones I already have. the set I had didn't have the height needed to lift by the frame for the front.

should have no issue with my own tire rotations moving forward.

Safety is paramount. If the stand or jack ain't tall enough without homemade adapters, get new gear!

But there is always one retard out there. check this dude out.
So I was thinking...who would use wood like that for jack stands...few hours later I was watching bitch’n rides and in the background, was a truck on a wood block jack stand....season 3, episode 6 if you want to see it.

My understanding is that it’s due to the mass recall on the 3 and 6 ton stands. HF has to find a new manufacturer. Due to COVID, and because they come from China, we won’t see their new inventory anytime soon. Time shall tell.

these are not bricks. when is the last time a 6x6 beam split with absolutely no indicator? these blocks have over 2 yrs of use with zero issues

Exactly. Not all wood is created equal either. I don't use wide grained knotty pine for blocks, but use tight, clear grain solid pieces. Wood usually provides a lot more indication of failure than rock or brick. Using them as a base, if everything is level and distributed equally is a non issue. As it using a small bock. Common sense needs to kick in when stacking pieces or using them under shear conditions etc. Cribbing is used all the time for huge industrial lifts - but it needs to be done properly.

I took advantage of temps in the 60's here in Maryland yesterday and actually used my Eagle jack to rotate the tires on my truck. 1000% glad I purchased it. As I mentioned, I have never been sorry for buying the best (of anything).
