IWE on 17s??

I noticed when I remote started the truck last night that I do not get that same "clunk" that I used to get about 4-5 seconds after starting the 14. In the 14, I am pretty sure it was from the vacuum building and the 4WD IWE ends "disengaging."

Are the 17s set up with the same 4WD system in the front for the hubs? and is this something I will have to check on later?

The clunk I've always assumed and been told are the lifter pumps in the motor beginning to cycle
