The iTSX has about 30 different gauges that can be monitored, you can only monitor one at a time on and iPhone, but about seven I think on the iPad, some I feel are foolish, but some useful, like the amount of air passing through the mass air flow. Additionally if you prefer a custom tune, which normally will produce more horsepower and torque than a "canned" tune, the iTSX allows you to save the data and send it in, and have the tune adjusted for maximum gains. One of the iTSX's greatest features as well is the performance test. It is like having a dyno built into your vehicle; it will give you a very close estimated horsepower and torque, 1-60 time, 1/4 mi time, breaking time, top speed in the 1/4, and even generate a graph of said data. The last major thing is with the iTSX is, let’s say you drive the vehicle with a custom tune, save the data and send it in while you’re still out in about. Your tuner gets updated and e-mailed to you, you are then able to receive the new tune via wifi, or cell phone data, import it, and re-flash your raptor on the spot, additionally if there is an update to your tuner software, or application, you are able to download and update it without even being home. Yes I do agree that the iTSX is slightly cost heavy, but in my honest opinion, it is well worth every cent. I hope this helps guide your choice, but I know I seem very bias, but I have never personally used the X3. So if someone could give full input of its full capabilities that might make it an easier decision.

Great write up! Ive been waiting for someone to post this for a bit now. Thanks Robert McCleese

I really like the idea of the data logging so you can perfect your tune. That and the performance monitoring really make me want to get this.

My iTSX broke before I loaded a tune. Cool in theory if I was going do it agin the x3 would be my choice.

I also had an issue when it was first released, where i was unable to get it to tune the Raptor, after a few phone calls and being talked through by SCT, they explained how to do a "hard reset" to the device, and everything was great minus the performance test. Roughly a week ago there was a patch to both the iDevice as well as the tuner, and now everything is in working order. Anytime you get something that is a first release, and outside the norm, there are bound to be a few issues, but SCT is a great company, and their costumer service was outstanding, quick call backs, fast replies to e-mail, etc... and they will handle even issue with any of their products you have.

Is an example of what the iTSX produced from my vehicle from the performance yes, just you give you an idea, tomorrow i can take a screen shot of the iPad running gauges so you can see it's layout if you like, and write out the list of avail monitoring choices as well.

Whoa. Is that dyno run from your raptor? How are you getting 487 hp and 567 ft-lbs? Pretty impressive if thats your raptor.

It also says he did 0-60 in 2.2 but the 1/4 in 14.9 I think it might be just a little off, but I didn't figure it'd be dead accurate. It's just another toy in the toybox.

The ticket says it was 0-60 feet.

I wonder if the programmer was reading off the speed sensors in the rear axle. If you were to account for wheel spin during that quarter mile run, it could explain the 2.2 second reading.

I wasn't looking at the ticket, I was looking at the iTSX readout which said 0-60seconds 2.2
1/4 mile seconds 14.9

I see what you're talking about on the ticket now, but I hadn't dug into the album and seen that.

That might just be it, or that stat is just labeled badly in the display and really is 0-60' not 0-60mph. I don't know which.
