probably the strike, being in the middle, kind of, between leftover 23's and 24s that are now delayed, caused your issues. When I wanted my 22, I found a dealer in NC where I could order with no markup. Placed order Oct 21, took delivery May 22.

Cool vehicle! Lots of great things going for it, I think that company is going to go far one day. Personally I can’t get past the wall-e headlights, but they’re a great design otherwise and the family members of mine that own one are thrilled. Enjoy! My dealership experience getting my gen 3 has me seriously questioning if I ever want another Ford. Life is too short to deal with that BS again.

Hopefully you have no issues. It looks like most states have one or two "service centers" at most.

These EVs are going to spend a lot of time being hauled around on flat bed tow trucks or in trailers- it's almost like owning a Maserati or some other obsure make where the closest dealer is a 3 hour trek.

Congrats and good luck. I suspect you will be back in a Raptor or something eventually. I had a friend buy one and he always had a truck, but he really never used his truck for truck stuff. So I figured the Rivian would be good for him. He went thru the DFW, TX summer and the A/C couldn't keep up was a complaint he had. He kept it under a year and went back to an F150.
You just better hope you don't get backed into at the rear or rear ended. There is a body shop guy on youtube that did a repair using dent removal techniques. The owner came to him after the 1st body shop quoted $40k because the panel to the bed is continuous and goes over the cab. I'm sure the high price was the body shop just not wanting to deal with a Rivian. Good luck and have fun with it.

Rivian was high on my list as I searched for my new vehicle during the tumultuous years....

I went full circle and ended back here with my '22 but hope you stick around a bit and tell us more bout your new ride

I think the r1t has some cool features like the cooktop kitchen and stuff but after seeing off roading videos and the struggles it had on top of tire fitment etc I’m just like eh. I completely agree about getting rid of the dealerships, I was looking at a dark horse recently and the dealer wanted a 30k markup

Whoa.....+30k on a mustang! Raptors and now mustangs.....i sure hope this trend passes soon. Or better, the dealers lose their ability to sell new ford vehicles.
