Is there any kind of transmission service required?

Just turned 30k miles. Getting ready to do a rear diff cover and fluid change.

IS there anything required on the transmission, or the front diff?

I thought these transmission with fluid were a lifetime deal at least it was on my Gen 1. Think you have to take the whole cover off, the diffs have fluid changes though

I want to say the diff and trans are 100k but I usually do that stuff at 60k

I just rolled over 34k on my 18

I’m personally changing tranny fluid @ 50k....it’s a new design, can’t hurt.

Being that this is a pseudo GM tranny & given my prior experience w/ GM automatics I don’t necessarily think you NEED to swap it out @ 50k, but given how I feel like driving the truck, the power it’s making, & my driving fluctuating drastically between long stints or hwy driving w/ very little shifting & quick multi-stop sign low speed stop & go w/ a lot of cold starts....again- it ain’t gonna hurt.

I don’t consider it a “waste” - I’m propping up the US energy sector

But hey, I get it, you just want to do shit to your truck. definitely doesn't need that at 50k though
