Search for Flowmaster Flow FX on this forum. It is a simple 409 SS muffler replacement that keeps the stock DP, resonator and tailpipes for less than $500.

The Toadster posted a couple of videos with a cold start, driving from inside and drive bys. The sound is deeper, but not annoying with no drone or rasp under normal driving. It sounds much better than stock under WOT.

I have done this, and could not agree more. It's not that there isn't a sound or even that it doesn't sound... well for what it is. It's just that there should be more with a lower resonance. Hence why I'm so frustrated by being unable to get some better options for an overall not great situation. And most of the sound clips I can find are either taken in a garage, or right next to the exhaust, and that changes the overall sound of the exhaust. I don't know why it seems so difficult for someone to set a camera 20 feet behind the truck and take some videos.

I’m really happy with the Magnaflow cat back system. It’s a much lower/ deeper sound. Little louder on the highway yes, but isn’t that the point?

I think the videos are nearly worthless. Mine doesn’t sound anything like the videos I’ve watched.
