My dealer's salesman in SE MI told me they have 2 allocations left for Raptors and is selling at MSRP. (previously he said I was 8 of 9 and they were sold out but he says they got 2 more for 2017...that is another discussion...whether true or perhaps 2 of his prior allocations dropped out since I didn't think Ford had given any more allocations out).
PM if you are interested in a MSRP deal in SE MI and I'll give you my salesman's info.
I called and worked with your salesman, and placed an order... dropped your name while I was at it. Hopefully you'll get something out of it! Thanks, man!
Damm. I've been waiting to see a few Raptors delivered before I order. If a TT V8 is coming n 2018 of course I would want one over the V6. I don't hate the V6 but if I had a choice the V8 would get my vote.
Analysis paralysis is headed to my brain.

Not sure about the engine, but it makes a good sound. I can't hear any turbo whistle, but then I don't hear any supercharger whine either.
I still don't see the engine making its way into a Raptor. I guess time will tell.
You can't really hear turbo noise on any of the newer turbo V8's unless someone is absolutely flogging the thing. Take an Audi RS7 for example. Twin turbo 4.0L V8 that makes very very little turbo noise. Or the 4.4L twin turbo in the BMWs. I reallllly wish Ford would just use the supercharged 5.0L they used in the supercharged Range Rovers and I think the Jaguar as well. Or even better the newer 5.0 from the Ranger Rover SVR. I don't 100% think a V8 is coming as much as I would absolutely love that but Ford listens to their customers, and the vast majority want the V8 if it is offered.
It's happening. I know a guy. I already have one on order.
