Is Gen 3 37PP Beadlock ring vanity or functional? Any Ford Techs that can help here?

Right. You just left out the reason why they are vanity, no big deal. I didn't have legality in my equation when I posted this question. I can appreciate the forum because I got the same answer from FP. I need a consensus before I start having work done on my Raptor, especially when it comes to being legal and safe, that may upset some folks but that's not my concern.

Not that you'll take any of this for what it is worth, but the reason the beauty ring is there in the first place, 99% of people don't need beadlocks but like the look. And second, probably most importantly, beadlocks for recreational use are a nightmare for torqueing and retorquing the beadlock repeatedly. Many tire shops won't touch them, install is a nightmare start to finish. The only reason to run bead locks, is because you really need to.

I have done and will be doing some more rock crawling with my Raptor, hence my inquiry regarding beadlocks. Thanks for the input. Not a fan of Starbucks btw.

I already did reach out to my dealership a few days ago and I'm still waiting for an answer, hence my post on here. It was my last resort. Ford CANNOT legally sell a rim with a functional beadlock ring because they are illegal (Antho left this part out, which is totally fine). Tough crowd around here lol.

Not completely accurate. Ford won't sell a vehicle with functional beadlocks installed because they are not street legal in most places, and they want to sell street legal vehicles. They will sell you the beadlock rings, and Ford doesn't care if you use them legally or not.

Back to the topic of the beauty ring. Anyone else find they get a lot of wedged pebbles (large sand grains) stuck in the groove between the rim and ring when off-roading? Needed to use a small pick to free most of it, the pressure washer wasn’t enough.
