Is fuse 27 swap really necessary?

the directions on line and video are superb
You can’t mess it up. Just be careful flipping the wire bundle over to get access as they can be a little fragile and stiff. I personally think summer month helped me.
I knew 100% which wire to cut!
Get a solder kit for cheap on Amazon.
I practiced on a few random wires laying around and then attempted the solder on the raptor with no issues.

I had a 2014 with 115k miles, had the kit in my car. I also at one point ordered replacement fuses. One day car didn’t crank, I knew right away what it was. Luckily the fuse burned but didn’t fuse so I replaced it. Later did the kit.

Can happen at any moment and leave you stuck.

I was driving my 2011 with 165,000 miles daily.
Then stopped for fuel, re-started, went to the car wash and it would crank-no start.
Messed around with key and remote start to see if any better-none.
Starting thinking it was time for a tow.
Opened fuse box, wiggled, started and made it home.
Replaced it the next day with stuff I had in the console for 5-6 months.
No issue since.

I had been thinking if it made it as long as it did, no worries, but...
I was wrong and should have done it sooner.
