Dam surprised they del to customers that way

Nothing that the dealership fails to do should surprise you! Buddy of mine took delivery of a Focus RS that had the shipping spring lift blocks left installed by the dealer that give it enough ground clearance to get on and off the train/trucks.

My tires were all at 48psi when I took delivery. It amazes me how little the dealer wants to lift a finger when they hand over to the customer.

Raptor Assault had their tires around 28 psi and felt good on and off road.

Yep, 27-28 is what I saw as well. Of course they have that setup for longer tire life due to added off roading.

One of the instructors their suggested 37-38 in the front and 5 less than what you run in the front for the back, unless your hauling added weight in the bed/towing.

I took delivery of my truck last week. Pressures as per the TPMS were all 45+.

I lowered them and used a digital tire pressure gauge to get to 38.

Yet my TPMS were all still 40+ for all 4 tires.

Has any one else experienced this discrepancy?

Which number should I trust?

Mine came from dealer with 50psi

Don't forget that lower pressures on the road lead to higher tire temps which leads to higher wear rate and higher risk of blowout.

My tires were all at 48psi when I took delivery.

As you've seen, 48-50 PSI on delivery is common. It shouldn't be but it is on these trucks.

Those who advocate running less than the factory number should understand the risks of advising that. It's one thing to suggest lower PSI's off road (e.g. and lower for sand) and it's quite another to recommend lower pressures for on road freeway/highway driving at higher speeds in a heavy truck.

A few PSI's won't hurt but running much lower PSI's could be dangerous to you, your family and others on the road.

My TPM are accurate. Your guage might be off. Also, I see 1-2 PSI difference between cold and warm tires so makes sure you measure at the same time.
