Is 37 PP worth it?

I’d argue that the champion gets promoted. And there is no promotion in championing an existing product. New, new, new is the ticket upward. Another reason that ground breaking products always go downhill. And to be fair, if one of the bastārd child Raptors takes off, it is more net sales by Ford. The cost is brand dilution, which can’t be measured until it’s too late.
Champions get promoted if they are successful. Transferred if they fail. All I'm pointing out is the Raptor "team" is losing ground by losing some of it's badging... Or they are being consumed by the oval. ;)

Sharing the running boards saves money. One part to design, purchase, track, and inventory. I welcome those sorts of savings because my truck spends most of it's time where there are no people to look at it. As far as the Tremor goes, it's a barely upgraded F-150. It's what the FX4 should have been. The number of new parts is pretty low. It's kind of like free money. Compare that to the Raptor with a different frame and suspension.
None of this really saves money...They were already designed and the production chain was secured. How does starting a new line save money though? Tooling and new parts compared to a switch on branding. Hardly. My point was Raptor lost budget and F150 gained.

If you want to get technical. You drive a truck and the purpose of a truck is to use the open bed. Not to climb rocks. Get a Jeep or Bronco if you're going to do that. :) When Ford saw everybody was using their trucks for a task meant for the Bronco. They revived the Bronco.

If I had to hazard a guess, it would be that the Raptor budget currently is exponentially higher than it was back in 2009. We’ll know the true trajectory of all of this when the gen 4 comes out. If it’s just a facelift and an extra 26 HP we’ll know, if it’s got an extra 2” of travel, and 550+ HP then we’ll also know. Fords going to have to have an answer to the 540HP RAM regardless of the Raptor. That motors in the regular RAMs too. I wouldn't be surprised if part of the reason for the delay of the next F150 is revamping the ecoboost. Not to say that hurricane engine surprised Ford…Im sure they knew about it years ago.
