I changed to the RAM mount and used the lip of the seat bracket. It was a pain to get washers and nuts under the lip but once done it is very solid and the post can be removed at the base very easily. I dremeled the plastic cover to clean things up a bit.

We used it at SnoBall this year and had some movement in the arm but the passenger just braced it with his knee.

Modern farm tractors have a mounting rail for electronics. Raptor should come the same way from the factory. Makes more sense than a chunk of plastic on tailgate for options.

I saw that too. That is actually what got me thinking. My question is what if my $1k iPad falls out of the case and ***** all over my truck? I just wonder how secure this option is? I know my Speck case is a tight fit, ut I am curious s to the strength

I rolled my truck at around 30-40mph with my iPad Pro 9.7 mounted on a RAM Mount to the windshield with no case and no screen protector. There isn't a scratch I can find on the screen or any noticeable dents/dings in the iPad casing either.
