Original Owner of a GEN2 2019 Ford Raptor SCREW, 79K miles (truck is stock).
I'm trying to pinpoint an intermittent humming/grinding noise before it becomes a bigger issue.
Symptoms:
- Faint grinding noise from the front left wheel when turning fully to the right and in reverse (e.g., pulling out of a parking spot). The noise is light but vibrates through the floorboard, gas, and brake pedals.
- Light humming/grinding/binding when coming to a stop (~5 MPH), especially when the truck is cold. This vibration also reverberates through the floorboard, gas, and brake pedals.
- Excessive winding/grinding in 4A under moderate to heavy acceleration, heard from inside the cab. The noise disappears when switching back to 2WD. While some 4WD noise is expected, I compared it to another 2019 Raptor, and mine is about twice as loud. Could this be related to my other issues?
Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated—this is driving me crazy!
