So the only real complaint I have with the new Raptor is the lack of storage under the rear seat. Coming from my Power Wagon that not only had good storage under the back seat, but the in floor storage, I’m bummed that Ford didn’t give us more under the back seat. I’m thinking something like this would be very helpful, but wonder what others are doing? https://www.huskyliners.com/GearBox...20/ford/f-150/body-style/supercrew-cab-pickup

I’m actually pretty glad they left that cavernous back area flat without a bunch of storage getting in the way. I’d certainly agree with you that they missed the boat in not offering it as an upgrade as many feel as you do. Several people on this forum have commented on the utility of the husky gear box though i believe there are other options out there. Here’s one that gets pretty good reviews too:

Thanks for the link. Looks better than Husky.

Personally I prefer it the way it is-I can store shotguns and extra coats under the seat easily without necessarily having to lift the seat up to get them.
Have plenty of equipment (first aid kit, doggie gear, tie downs) stored in the dividers.

Have an Oedero that was about $100. Looks pretty nice. Wish it sat a little flusher. My main issue with most of these, personally, is I have kids car seats and one of them is strapped down so have to completely remove it in order to have full access. I can easily access it from the passenger side small flip up though.

My wife bought me the husky one for Christmas. Great idea but I don’t like having to lift the seat. I placed a first aid kit with Velcro on the end and some rolled ratchet straps under the seat to create a cubbie, now I can slide tools or shotguns/rifles in from the end and not worry about them coming out.

Try the Apollo Optics guys. Since Nick says he carries both, I’d buy from them. They’re on this forum frequently and contribute very nicely to the forum and offer good service. I try and support any of the companies who take the time to contribute and teach us stuff. Just my 2c.

I purchased this one and although it's expensive it's also very well made and of high quality.

ESP:

This design allows for plenty of room to fit multiple items and long enough to fit your rifle secure and hidden under the Back Seat with no modifications needed.

It's made out of .125 thick 5052 Steel with Aluminum Tops and Measures 49" Long by 6" Deep.

Mine only had two locks, however, I liked it better than having three.
