10 years ago I bought a Polaris RZR. Just the 50 inch trail model. I had been with All State for 20 years at that point. Called to get insurance the day after purchase and was told something like $350 a month, at that time I was paying $70 a year on two Yamaha ATVs.

I argued with them for two days, before I told them to go Eph themselves.

Been with State Farm ever since.

Be careful with state farm. i had them for years until they told me that non oem parts would be used to fix my wife’s car unless i paid the difference. I told them to getfucked. On my raptor and my business partners raptor we had geico and it was $4500 is per year (commercial insurance not personal) and we recently switched to mercury and we now pay $2800/year for 2 trucks for the same coverage, again commercial, not consumer since our business owns the trucks.

Also Los Angeles the highest insurance rates in the country.

THAT os on your body shop. My body shop won't use non OEM parts. A good body shop can back up why OEM is better. Many crappy shops or worse dealers are just in it for the labor and move. A good body shop takes pride in their work and won't let a customer drive a car not prepared properly.

Had nothing to do with the body shop. Go read your policy, it’s in there.

When you authorize repairs to your vehicle:

  • Using new non-OEM, recycled, or OEM Surplus parts as described on the estimate ...
  • And we pay for those repairs ...
  • State Farm promises that you will be satisfied with the fit, corrosion resistance qualities, and performance of those parts for as long as you own your vehicle*...
  • Or we'll see that the parts are repaired or replaced to your satisfaction — at no cost to you.**
The final choice as to which parts will actually be used in repairs rests with you, the vehicle owner.

All states except Indiana and Minnesota
If you prefer parts other than those included on the estimate, you should notify your repairer. Should the use of those other parts increase the repair cost, you will be expected to pay the difference.
