I’ve always felt insurance in every form was a scam
So, think about this.
1) The government REQUIRES you to carry auto insurance.
2) there is MINIMAL regulation of this insurance.

That’s a combination that is ripe for getting financially fùcked in the àss.
I get why you want people to have it, nobody wants to get totaled by the immigrant fresh off the boat/plane, with no financial ability to pay, or the lazy, barely getting by bum with a car. But, instituting a legal requirement to carry insurance and not properly overseeing that industry, creates a problem.

In a perfect world of responsible citizens, insurance isn’t needed, but we’re not responsible on the level of the colonists, now, are we?

Going to call Geico and figure this out, probably time to make a switch
The former will be a waste of time, the latter, probably more productive.
Insurance carriers are like diapers, and politicians. Often full of shít, and needing frequent changes.

I haven't purchased a new vehicle since September 2000. Between the ridiculous cost of kalifornistan sales taxes & registration, and insurance, I refuse to be ripped off. I'm driving a 2011 6.2 Raptor and a 2012 3.5 ecoboost instead.

We change our insurance provider about every 6 months to a year. Saves us a ton of money. They all suck so it's not like we lose our on good service. As we are watching the Monopoly of everything merging, I hope insurance companies don't. Then we will all be paying 10000 a month.

Funny this thread pops up again....

Another year another rate increase.

Going from $137 a month to $226 a month... Yes a 65%% increase. Going to call Geico and figure this out, probably time to make a switch.
I had the same thing but with State Farm. Switched to Geico, went from $1100/6 with State Farm to $2400/6 with max coverage. Going to Geico went back to $1200/6, no explanation for the increase from my SF agent, so adios.

Facts. I told people to shop around because loyalty ain’t a thing anywhere. It’s about the cash.

Yea, insurance rates have blown up for me too.
Geico used to be the best priced till a few years ago. Then it was progressive for 6 months.
Now I'm at State Farm who only raised the rate 20 bucks a month.

Still 120 a month more than a year ago. No tickets. One accident cause an old woman decided to enter my lane and side swipe my previous truck. Good thing for dashcams.

I have State Farm and they just went up again. Been with them for about 20 years, home and auto, no claims. Thinking about checking out farm bureau.

Maybe if they stopped having sports ball players do their commercials, they could lower their rates.??
