People who had Gen 1 Raptors, what was your experience on insurance. Is it any more than a normal F-150?

Mine is normal. I'm married and over the age of 25, so it's low. You should call around, I use USAA.

Insurance should be the same as a regular F-150. If you live in a state that requires you to pay personal property tax on your vehicles, that could be expensive. Mines about $950 a year in taxes and my truck is 7 years old!!!

I have had State Farm, Geico and Farmers

Currently on farmers with my 2012

Some things to consider:
1. mods - I listed my mods to Farmers and have them insured (I have close to $50k in mods)
2. off road events - I have read thru the full documents (I am no a laywer, but I can read), and while Geico and State farm have exclusions, Farmers does not (State Farm's exclusion is so bad, if you wreck your truck on a dirt road, they can deny coverage). As long as I am not racing for time or money, Farmers will cover my truck (everyone who goes to any event should know before hand what their coverage does and does not cover)

For 2016/2017 I have a premium of 1042 a year. It was $700 last year, but then my teenager started driving, and by Texas law I cannot exclude him on any vehicle, so he's covered for everything from my Ducati to my GT3, which jacked all my rates up by about 30% (teenagers....)

I absolutely hate this ********. I live in Michigan and it's the worst for insurance (my rates doubled when I moved from Ohio) and then they bill me about $2500 a year for registration tax on my five cars. Ohio was $35 a tag regardless of vehicle, while Michigan bills you based on msrp of the vehicle regardless of what you actually paid or bought used. My 16 year old Ferrari 360 I bought used 5 years ago for about the price of the Raptor new gets taxed based on a $200k msrp.
