Inside tire slash, delivered this way?

Just went under my raptor for its first oil change- around 2k miles/ 1 month old and noticed a slash on the inside side wall. I’ve babied this thing and 99.9% sure I haven’t hit anything on the road. Any chance this happened in transport or pre delivery? No warranty would cover it right?

I would say not covered by warranty. Just bad luck.

One month old should be covered no matter how it happened.

They are Not going to cover that at all! You could have hit anything without knowing it!! Less headache, just get a new tire and be on your way

I have a tire that way on one of my sets, no idea how it happened, has not caused an issue

probably out of luck. If it holds air okay you could switch it out with the spare for now.

Dealer will not cover it even though they should... looks like damage from the transport truck/strap/clamp. Swap out with spare.

Exactly what I was thinking. Looks like a ratchet strap. Not in a place I would’ve seen on initial inspection.

That small amount of abrasion is no problem. Just drive it. You’ll get more damage than that hopping curbs at the mall.

I would switch it out with the spare. Keep an eye on it. I don't like risking with known sidewall damage.
