Awesome!

I was waiting for something like this to come out.

I've gleaned enough info from your posts to convince me that you know what you're doing.

How would you rate the Alpine unit? I don't mind paying for quality stuff, but still like to maximize my bang for buck ratio.

Is there something else coming out in the future that plays nice with our Raptors?

I have a 2014 with basic sound system.
yes. the x009fd2 is the one that works with the 13/14 non nav trucks

or so ive been told

just be aware of whether you want climate control onscreen - only Kenwood does that today, wish Pioneer did. I can still use my hard buttons, but without the on screen cannot see what temp you setting.

alpines new setup with their perfect fit kit works really well. it gives you an 8" touch screen and integrates with all your oem controls. has the ability for rear camera and a video input for a front camera if you decide to add one

Stereo, have you written elsewhere on this solution? I too have a 'stock' 2011 with just the backup camera option.

Having the new 8 "Alpine Nav unit and having had an older Pioneer Nav prior to changing to the Alpine in the Raptor. I think the Pioneer ergonomics were better. I do prefer the Alpine Navigation and larger screen. I miss the ability to stream Netflix to the Pioneer and thought it's interface was faster.

I do not find having climate control an issue. For me its ergonomics, user interface, sound quality, and navigation which are most important to me. Both handled rear and front cameras well.

not yet. need some more info?

Well, now that I have my new headlights, thanks Dawson, the next thing on my wish list is to incorporate something like the system you are discussing. My big 'things' are that I want to be able to control the satellite radio from the screen as well as view my backup camera (my eyes are getting bad and that display in the rearview mirror seems to be getting smaller by the day). Other than that, I have no climate controls to worry about, so it seems like the way to go.
