My 2012 Raptor truck is my daily driver and is currently on the rack at my local ford dealership. They are saying I need a COMPLETE rear end! Apparently not just a carrier, or gears, bearings, shims,or even an axel or two! They’re telling me I need new chunck and tubes, the whole 9 yards!?. Ford dealer quoted over 7k just for parts which wasn’t the worst info.., the worst is they mentioned that some parts may take 2 weeks to come in because they “don’t have everything in stock for Raptors”. The truck was still driveable enough to go 20miles + load onto my car hauler. No sign of fluid, grease, nothing. Did not grenade it (like I have experienced with other vehicles).
Any direction or insight with someone with more raptor specific rear end knowledge would be GREATLY appreciated even if you don’t have the parts I need please respond.

I will purchase a complete salvaged rear end, new, used, whatever it takes to get it back on the road ASAP! I will pay for fast shipping to northeast Louisiana as well. Time (aka getting the truck back) is worth more than money in this situation to me so whatever you have, let me know as soon as possible. Your welcome to txt me (easier for me to reply). Threeoneeight 282 fivethreezero zero.
Thanks so much!

Try car-part.com. They allow you to search wrecking yards for pretty much anything. You can also filter your findings by area, price, etc. Curious to hear why they are saying you need even a new housing? $7,000 sounds ludicrous.

i found a company in michigan that had complete rear ends. it cost me about $1800 to buy and have it shipped to me. i bent an axle tube on mine when my entire axle came out of my passenger rear, and ford would not cover under warranty. i will try to look for the company thst sold it to me

for $3200 you can have a brand new STRONGER axle delivered from Currie. Ready to bolt in!

Opps, scratch that! Like $6K, lol

Contact rpg, aftermarket hq, svc, or khc and see if they have any from customer swaps.

With them charging you $7K for a new rear-end, I would agree with some of the other comments here and go with a setup from Currie. Even when I add every possible option to that rear end, the price is $6,278.60.

Granted you would have to install it yourself, but the install procedure looks relatively straightforward.

One thing that John Currie says in that video is that "One of the weak links in the Raptor is the rear-end." Obviously the situation the OP is in supports this statement, but I haven't seen any indication that this statement is true otherwise. Are there people on this thread who have had trouble with the rear-end?

I think "weak link" is a relative term, and let's be honest, Currie is in business to make money. The 9.75 rear is known to be a hearty piece. And the Raptor version is even more so. It may give up the ghost when subjected to high power levels (supercharger...) Or just being beat on while off road. I don't think most people will have any problems with thier rear end...

I think your are getting ****** on the whole deal. I don't see any reason you'd need a new housing.

Take that truck out of the Ford dealer and send it to a company that does nothing but axles and drivetrain. I highly doubt you need a new housing.
