I'm surprised there aren't more "Best aftermarket brake pad" threads. Would be awesome to be able to blow 5k on a Brembo kit but if some pads and maybe some ss lines would do the trick that would be nice

i actually agree with you. i do not need a big brake kit. that is why i said something about having double drilled and slotted rotors. they actually do help. stopping is a lil better. they are great for when we get stuck in heavy traffic around here in so cal. i used the stock pads on my 14. but also like stoptech pads. have never had brake fade from hot brakes while using double drilled slotted rotors. for $400-$600 it is a nice improvement. not much more then if you just replaced the rotors with oem. brake pads also last longer with them too. i'm not even sure i need ss lines lol.

my 17 raptor takes longer to stop then my 14 lariat hd that had front dd/s rotors. the pedal also requires more pressure.

edit. my service center even put the front dd/s rotors on for free when they had to change my brakes. first set of pads lasted 24k miles. i traded the 14 for the 17 and the pads were barely worn at 45k miles.

I'll probably do some experimenting with my brakes when I get my truck. Hoping I don't absolutely hate the brake feel. Prob start with some upgraded pads and then go from there. Worst case I might upgrade the calipers and rotors but hoping that won't be necessary
