Looking for a wire to tap into for my light bar, that will come on when ignition starts. Or, if possible, one that is inside the cab that will come on when I unlock the doors so the backlighting comes on. Needs to be on the drivers side as I went through the drivers side grommet in the firewall. Not trying to buy some extra wire to run over the the passenger side fuse box.

This is for a rigid adapt 30 inch light bar.

2020 LF 802A

Any info on this would be a great help, thanks

Why wouldn't you just tie into one of your upfitter switches and leave it on the next time you shut the truck off.
Because the rigid adapt comes with its own GPS module and controller for the lighting that I'm mounting next to the steering wheel. I don't want to have to click on an upfitter switch or have one lit up while driving if I don't have to

Also, the wiring given in the kit isn't going to be long enough to reach from the steering wheel to the floor of the passenger side fuse box

Why can’t you solder, heat shrink, and extend the wire? I would not wire it straight to the fuse box. I would plug an add-a-fuse into fuse 23 at the passenger kick panel and utilize a relay.

Yeah, unfortunately there absolutely nothing to tie into on the driver side. Unless you want to cut your factory harness which I would not recommend.
