Im down for beach runs as long as we can rinse off our undercarriage (to quote dukes of hazard)

This whole trip sounds awesome! Cant wait. Can someone tell me how to use my Lowrence Baja 5m? Any way to load maps or practice before I got down there?

Just in case anyone who is attending is wondering what to pack. Here is a list of Baja "essentials".

Headlamp
Mechanix Gloves
Good Socks (Smartwool, etc).
Layers (Hoodies, T Shirts, Zip off pants)
Good Sneakers or hiking boots
Sleeping bag and pad, cot, etc.
Survival food. (cans of soup, MRE, hiking food, etc).
Baby Wipes
Camera with charger

There is plenty more. I would consider most of these essential though. Almost a month out. Looking forward to it!

When did SCORE redo the website? Roger did a great job so far! Nightly at 7pm PST there is a live stream they put on as well from SCORE:
HDRA/SCORE LIVE, Ustream.TV: High Desert Racing Assn. (HDRA) is a professional off-road racing organization based in Las Vegas, NV. HDRA currently sanction...
SCORE International Off-Road Racing |

The last pod cast they talked a lot about having future races on Friday, they were just tossing around the idea, nothing concrete.
Dirt Live Episode 3 "Johnny Campbell and Justin Davis", Dirt Live Episode 3 "Johnny Campbell and Justin Davis" HDRA on USTREAM. Racing
Last Night was episode #3 of Dirt Live from SCORE.

At the end Norman talks about the SF 250
"112 miles of new course- north side of highway. 22 miles of the course is brand new to pretty much everyone.
GPS tracking for sportsman, SCORE will monitor approaching trucks to warn bikers somehow.
Possibly a party Thursday night on the stage under arches, we will know soon.
Maps coming out pretty soon.
Future of website will have electronic contingency, etc. so you won’t have to hang out at contingency.
25 fire suits are donated by FireEtc for fuel crews if anyone needs them."

Cant wait!

1 Month out today.

Working on cool stuff like drivers bags. This is going to be an awesome trip.

Important things everyone needs to take care of.

Mexico Insurance. I use Mexican Auto Insurance Online - Baja Bound Mexico Insurance Services
Radio. Everyone needs a VHF radio capable of tuning to 151.775. Handheld at a min, but I strongly suggest a mobile mount unit.
Second Spare. You don't need one until you need one. It doesn't have to be mounted, we can always get it mounted up at a Llanterra. I'll have an extra that I can loan out too.

More to follow.

I have 4 stock tires that are to the wear bars in my back yard. I also have the stock spare under the truck. I am hoping my old method rim with the 37" KR Project tire is not too badly damaged from the Prius, and hopeing to take that along as a spare.

Do you have any suggestions on my spare tire situation? Dont think I will need it with the Projects

I blew out a project down there last year.

You should be OK with one spare. I think if we have 3 spares between every two trucks we should be in good shape.

I'll have 2, as will the other guide truck and the sweep truck. I'll have at least 1 unmounted on the highway truck. Most likely 2.

I've gone to Baja and had no flats, and I've had 2 flats. Just depends...

They wont have fun mounting those 37" projects if I have one not mounted :uhoh2:
