I wanted a tri-fold tonneau cover, but I didn't want to pay 2k for it...

Good luck with it. Couple of things I didn't like about the video on Amazon.

1) Plastic clips that attach it to the truck.
2) It only attaches at the front and rear.
c) I would be very wary of the clips breaking and the whole thing flying off into the roadway.

I hope it works out for you though. If it doesn't, there are vendors on here that can get you hooked up with a quality cover for far less than 2K. Most likely less than $1,000.
It actually attaches at the rear, middle and front. The front is “permanent” in the sense that once you secure it, you are not meant to remove it for use, only if you were removing the cover.

The middle and rear are adjustable clamps that are designed to be removed and re-attached quickly for folding. The hardware that secures it is a hard plastic, I didn’t like that, so I’m still trying to figure out if I can modify that. The clamps aren’t exposed to the sun, or extreme temperature cycles, so I don’t think they are going to weaken quickly.

However, I secured it and did 85, on a closed, private road, for extended periods of time and the cover didn’t budge.

Overall, it’s not bad for the $$

And that, for the money, is where I probably should have gone. For whatever reason, I just preferred a hard cover, don't ask, I have no good explanation. I do like to cruise around with my rear window open, so it may just be the noise that the soft tops have given me over the years.
I went on alibaba.com (basically where you can order directly from China) and my style cover is on there, under a lot of different seller names. So, I am guessing it is mass produced and marketed under different names, which I figured.
I am not a user who actually gets into my bed a lot, I trailer most loads, and fishing gear can be put into the bed via the tailgate. It just works for me.

My truck had a Bakflip on it when I bought it. It's OK, but there's no way I'd pay nearly $2K for one new. There's a lot of proifit in that for what you get.

Half of the time it don't have it on there, but it goes back on for vacations.

“Id like a tri-fold cover for a 2013 f150”

Retailer: “okay, that will be $600”

“Sweet! My raptor needed one!”

Retailer: “oh, you have a raptor? That’s $1200”

“But… it’s the same bed size?”

Retailer: “but… raptor”
