wow....buying a new vehicle is a PITA.

I have made calls trying to price a Raptor and no one knows their butts from a whole in the ground. These people want you sitting down in their office signing the paper work before they tell you the final price or it seems anyhow.

I posted something about this on the other forum. When I bought my truck I went to the Ford site and built it, then checked availability, there were none with out all the options . I then contacted the online sales lady and emailed her that this is what I want. Several days later one like I wanted showed up at another location she grabbed it and brought it to her dealership, called me told me it was there. The next day I went and test drove it and that evening I drove it home. I would suggest the same to anyone. It worked out for me pretty well. From what she told me, online sales people do not work on commission, now if that’s true everywhere? I don’t know. But if they start pressuring you I would have to say they were.

My dealer did pretty good... if you are willing to drive to Fort Worth...

They apparently have all remaining avialble non customer 2010 assignments for DFW being shipped to them.

I believe the NRA has a good program for buying cars too... it's not available in all areas but you can check on their website. You enter the options and they give you a certificate to take to the local participating dealer...

The certificate you take to the dealer is supposed to guarantee that price when you order the car or truck.

This is turning into a nightmare!!!

I lost the title to my Harley and trying to get a copy is crazy. The title office is still showing a lean on the truck. Apparently, even when you pay off a vehicle you have to take the title they send you down to the title office and have the lean removed. So now I have to get some kind of release form from the lean holder. The problem is, I only had the loan about 3 months before paying it off. So I can't remember who I got the loan with and the dealership has sold since. I finally got hold of the original dealership owner and he gave me a couple of phone numbers. I called these people up and they never heard of me and then inform me that they don't even do car loans :wow: It's a good thing I don't drink or I would be drunk right now LOL

Yes sir, all the DMV had was a name and a P.O. BOX. It took a while but I found out that finance company was bought out by Wells Fargo. So I got them on the phone and their going to Fedex a notarized form Wednesday or Thursday.

On another note, I finally got hold of two of my area dealers and both seem to want to deal but have both side Ford has placed a hold on the 6.2L models for about a month.

Them 5.4Ls are really starting to look good right about now.

Ford ain't holding anything...

They are just selling off the lot really quick.

If you can put up with the 5.4 there are great deals to be had.
