I LOCKED MY KEYS IN MY 2019 GEN 2!! FYI!

Gents, i feel pretty stupid but it happen to me- -JUST FYI!!!

Running late to pickup my kid.. parked the truck, turned it off, then open the door, and as i went to grab my keys in the cup holder they fell to the passenger side...

Thought to myself- no big deal truck is off and gonna go sign the check out for my kid and wont take more then 3mins.. AS I CLOSE THE DRIVER DOOR my hand push down on the
UP/DOWN LOCK .. not a push buttom but the UP AND DOWN THINGY.. as the door - closed - i said "hmmm nahhh i am good it cant LOCK the door- keys are inside"

Well to my surpised -- YEP LOCKED OUT and I NEVER BOTHERED TO RESET MY PUSH BUTTOM DOOR CODE.. Had to get a ride home, get my spare, then I programmed by door code..

Just fyi- .. never did i plan to lock the drivers door onthe way out by hand hit it!

Well that is weird, even though I don't have push button start, all our other Ford vehicles would that annoying triple honk if we tried to lock it with the keys in it.

When I picked mine up, the salesman helped me program the code. But then I read the manual and learned that if the battery goes or gets replaced, that gets cleared. So I just memorized the default code in the back of the manual and I use that. I lock my keys in the truck all the time. In the console safe.

OP, thanks for making me refresh my memory! I haven't used the keypad in almost 2 years. I never used Ford Pass to unlock it until I just tested it a few minutes ago. I almost posted earlier asking how to unlock with FordPass. Once I opened the app it's kind of hard to miss, even for me. Also, Gordo, I set my code almost 2 years ago, my battery has been disconnected a bunch of times while being serviced. When I checked it tonight my original code I set is still in there and worked fine.

Now, let's all laugh at Blademan! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, that could happen to anyone, thanks for making me think about how to open the truck if I do the same thing some day! Not that I ever would, being the smart, classy guy that I am. Now it will be easy, I had forgotten about the FP app, and I hadn't tested my pad code in forever.

LOL.. yea well i was pissed at myself when i felt the LOCK THINGY go down.-figure.. nahh it wont lock em in there..... I got the FORD CARD FACTORY PIN "now" saved to my EMAIL CLOUD account-just incase battery wipes out my personal pin... Then again when i locked my keys i also locked my cell phone.. Maybe someone will benefit.. i learned my lesson on that
