" my buddy" said its not his call they are marking them 25K over best he can do now is 15K but he has no power to change that. he just sold me a platinum explorer that is 55K for 8K under no one even came close to that not even with in 4K so I trust his word.

the very last 2014 was still on a lot in 2015 and they still would only go 8K under (different dealership)
I had to goto Bosie to get mine at MSRP

If anyone want to message me or post what dealer sells at MSRP I will buy today almost anywhere. if not I am looking into Roush or Whipple superchargers. I never wanted to pay 10K figured I would save that for part of my down payment on the new one but damn

Did they originally quote you at something lower or was that amount over MSRP what they started out with? I set my loan exactly for what my dealer had originally agreed to, at MSRP with only a couple hundred to cover fees. If she gets squirrely, then I walk. I think a lot of dealers are starting to see they can get much more over MSRP. Here's to hoping there are still some honest dealers out there (yes I get that its a business, but at the same time, if you agree to a price, you should be held to your word).

No quotes he told me build it online and he will see what can happen.
so I did and that is when he told me what the plan was for Raptors.
he also said he will buy any brand new Raptor at MSRP from any dealer right now. they have a mustang 350R at 25K over sticker they bought from someone else.

Its California home of the IDIOTs. don't get me wrong I love my state just not the people or the laws we have LMAO.

#1 biggest problem - you being jealous while driving a 2014 Gen1. There's no call for that!!!

Do yourself a favor and wait for a year until they get through all the 'gotta have it and gotta have it now' BS. Next year will be calmer and the dealers will be competing with an entirely different client base.

Worst case scenario is that you are stuck with an OG Raptor, and that is not a bad thing.....

not really Jealous but I will see one and want one even more, lol
I think I am going to super charge mine and even though my seats are fine I will redo them something cool and crazy. maybe like a Bentley inside with the double diamond stitch or something. I do like my seat they have red accents I prob use same color ideas

there will be no 2017 Raptor in my future. I have a buddy that is a big wig at my local Ford dealer and another guy I trained for a year or so who is the finance manager. Still the best they could do was 15K over sticker.
I built my truck out and it was 69035.00 we call it 70K so they wanted 85K plus tax and lic. am I cheap - stupid - or is that just nuts? oh and this was a hook up they have the first 10 they get going at 25K over sticker.
I can buy a F150 and make it drive a circle around a Raptor for that price.

Some one clue me in please am I just not at the right place? or is everyone paying crazy money over MSRP? is this everywhere or just my ****** area?
you guys with the new ones on order congratz to you I will be jealous in my 2014.

what is the avg price you are building them at? not the extra the MSRP? pretty much I clicked on everything they offered lol even the orange trim on interior, lol
Wait for a 2018 and pay invoice.

You are not crazy. Financially its the best decision you are making by NOT buying into the stupid frenzy of buying brand new, paying MSRP or over. Just in tax alone you are going to pay $4830 on top of $69k. (used 7% sales tax) plus title reg, extended warranties, etc. When smoke clears you will be under $80K. That's a lot for a pick up truck?

1. All this ******** would go away give it a little bit of time. Ford is not building 250 trucks for the year, they would probably produce 10-11k units.
once shipping and orders are fulfilled things would get back to normal.

2. Rule of thumb, first year production sucks as common rule. You become the test mule after paying $80K to run back and forth for this recall that recall, this problem that problem.

3. Cars are not houses, they depreciate, not appreciate. Even if its a Raptor ITS GONNA LOOSE VALUE as soon as you drive of the lot. Rule of thumb is $4K -$5k.

So look at this this way, you are saving a lot of money. There might be changes done to the truck like rumored V8 or whatever, where all this guys that could not wait are going to kick themselves in the ass big time.
Patience is a virtue.

You will get a much better deal on a pre owned one FOR SURE.

Just to be the first one to let a big wet fart out in you new truck not worth it.

MSRP on those trucks is already crazy; markups on top of that would be unacceptable for me if I was in the market for one. That truck simply does not carry $80k, or anywhere close to that, in value. Like others have said, wait for the dealers to finish ****** the suckers out there and buy when that well has dried up.

If you are really interested in one there is a dealer in Utah advertising Raprors for 5k over MSRP. I'm sure you could negotiate that as well. Check out Performance Ford in Bountiful Utah.

You gonna need a big bottle of **** lube too if you are going to buy a new Raptor nowadays. That's what it comes down to.
