I finally got a Gen 3, but I might not keep it for long.

Ah, contraire. Anything can be said about anything. Dodge does not have a good track record of truck mechanical longivity, at least in my area.
Why sling mud? We could make a case about any of the big 3. What are you currently driving? Did you ever buy a Raptor after all or are you still in the market for one?

“At least in my area” …yeah that sounds pretty technical Gary.

You didn't read my signature info on my posts.

Go ahead and make a case about any of the Big 3. Why not include the Asian trucks too. You won't come close to this areas experience with Dodges.

I mistaken you for someone that was shopping for a Raptor but owned a Taco.
Dodge/Ram and Jeep have been some of my favorite vehicles and still currently own a Power Wagon I bought new in 2019 and has not seen a shop and a 1987 CJ that has been super reliable.
I had a fleet of 8- f150s and 5- Chevrolet 2500 vans that I use for my business so I have books and books of maintenance and repairs logged. I’m a corvette fan as well and those vetts had a few bad years. But some great ones as well. I don’t want to try to convince you, just want to get along.

Roger that. Back in the day, I raced a big block '66 Chevelle SS. Have owned several Chevs. including a '70 LT1 vette. Would like to restore an old '50's Power Wagon.

I really want to buy a new Raptor, but no way am I spending $25,000 over MSRP. I'll wait. I don't blame the dealers, that is the market and supply and demand. It sucks but that's what the whole COVID scare has created.

But I have to be honest. Everyone on here saying the dealer is ******** (cheating) people with the ADM - would you sell your used Raptor for a "fair" price? That is, if you paid an MSRP for you new truck in the neighborhood of $75,000 and you have 20,000 miles on your truck - in normal times - you should be able to sell it for $60,000 to $63,000 or so - that would be the "fair" price, instead of getting more than MSRP on trade in. So when and if you trade it and sell it for $75,000+ => it's just the market... Right?

But when the dealer does it - he's ******** (cheating) people???????

Hey, I am willing to buy anyone's used 2019+ Raptor with around 20K miles for a normal price - please DM me.

Yep. They should be held to a higher standard as a business. Not only that, they arent representing themselves, they're representing the Ford brand. I'll never know, though. When I finally get my Raptor, imma drive that ho til the wheels fall off. lol All said, thats just my two cents, and I'm from Arkansas... Could be three cents, we aint gud with numberz.

Car dealer state laws are the worst. The Dealer is representing the Ford Brand but Ford has little to no control over them. It's a terrible way to do business. At the end of the day - the dealer is an independent business and makes its money or losses money wholly independent of Ford Motor Company. A company run dealership would be so much better. I remember buying a Saturn when those came out. You walked in - the MSRP was the price and the only price - no negotiation, no "deals". It was so nice and you were treated so well. I always feel like I have to take a shower after being at a dealership.

I was in a similar situation as you and was able to drive them both for about 6 weeks and kept the Raptor. Both are bad ass and are the best two trucks out there but I just prefer the lighter more agile feel of the Raptor.
