How will the Raptor compare to my Silverado 1500?

I had a gmc 1500hd with the lq4 6.0, cull exhaust work, custom tune, 4.10 gears, 7" lift with 35's and tons of other mods. I loved it, and now that i have the raptor i barely even think about it. The raptor is awesome. The football reference explains it pretty well...

Ordered up a new Raptor Screw on Tuesday. In the past I've owned all Chevy trucks:

97 single cab WT
2001 extended cab 1500
2006 crew dab 1500

I only had very minor issues with them over the years, and never even considered switching to Ford until I saw the Raptor. Having said that, has anyone else made the switch from Chevy before and if so how have you fared? Any regrets?

My last truck was a 2002 Extended Cab 1500 Z71. The 2 trucks don't even compare, the Raptor is hands down superior in every way.

Yup. Comparing a Z71 version to the Raptor is like saying TRD's offroad (err, cough cough STICKERS) option makes Toyota trucks better off road.

The only difference is you won't have to pretend your truck is the shit and tell everyone how much better your truck is than anything on the road...they already know.

I should add, I loved my Z71. It was a good truck and had no problems. The Raptor is just such a better machine.

I've always been a GM guy through and through. I've had several late model duramax trucks with everything done under the son. 40's Wilwood brakes you name it. I've also had the latest body style half tons. I love the raptor and do feel that Ford is really thumping GM and dodge right now.

Likes:
Great power
Great suspension
Much bigger interior and much bigger rear seats in the crew cabs
Better stereo
Better locker
Deeper bed
Better front seats
Better steering feel and handling
Overall performance and package is better
Rear tailgate step ( can't believe I said that but like it)



Ford nuances:
Absolutely horrendous headlights
No tie downs in bed or enough places to hook straps
Doors and suspension rattles
Gas mileage is worse

That being said this is a much better truck. I truly believe its the sum of the parts that make the magic of this truck. I love it and wouldn't go back unless a better product comes along.

comparing a raptor to a 1500 or f150 is just impossible because of the idea of a raptor and where it takes the stock f150 to. It is hard to compare the raptor to anything because no one makes a competitor to it. It is the best truck on the market IMO
