Im looking to try and drop the manifold intake temps 20F or so on my 19 Raptor. Im not interested in a FM IC that sits in front of the radiator. Im curious if there is an IC, or intake or any other option that can drop the temps.

Cant run a IC in front of radiator due to the LEDs behind my grill and not wanting to heat up radiator when towing. Stock location only for an IC.

The 19s now have the ability to see your intake and manifold intake temps on the dash...so very easy to tell if mods make a difference.

Light bars behind the grill and your asking about lowering temps  With that out of the way, there are several companies that make OEM replacement ICs, so if a FMIC is not an option, look to the OEM replacement. The OEM IC is garbage so anything will be an improvement. Unless you block it with your license plate.

Baja Design 1 inch wide LED light bar thats at ambient temp is not a 140F heat pump in front of the radiator like all the FM ICs are. From what I have researched an FM IC is about 15-20F cooler manifold intake temps then the stock IC. 15-20F is around a 2% improvement in HP which in stock form is 9hp, not a ton, but also nice to have. If I werent planning on towing I wouldnt worry about doing a FMIC, but I have read of several people in harsh conditions or towing that use a FMIC having cooling issues. I was wondering if anyone has used a **** injection kit, or if its possible to do a killer chiller setup like whats used on the Dodge Demon.

Mishimoto makes a direct fit IC that has a 77% larger core volume than stock and is much better built than the factory IC. I run one because I also didnt want the IC in front of the radiator.

I run the Cobb IC. In S fl. And tow a boat with no issues, the stock fan is pretty strong and should easily pull enough air through to cool the radiator. If your lights are 1" you probably have room for the IC

Forgot to add- I'm a front license plate state, but I moved my plate to the side to provide as much airflow as possible. Basically did what I could do with the space I had to work with.
