So I went and dropped my truck off to get it detailed. I guess I can say is my fault for not telling these guys but they waxed the graphics on the hood and it looks horrible. How do I get the wax off?

^^I can't speak for the graphics, but an overzealous detailer got some wax on some of the plastics and my powder coated bumper about a year ago. WD40 took the wax off the plastic, but so far nothing I've tried has taken the wax off the powder coat. I've even tried acetone! (Yeah I'm getting desperate!)

It was not wax that they used then. Synthetic is not wax---use the good stuff and there is never a problem... Been there done all of this years and years ago.....

If everyone was up to speed on what the various products were to be used for and the precautions that need to be taken then threads like these would not be needed.

Feel sorry for you but the fact of the matter is that if some of the products out there that are made for paint are put on cheap plastic decals then it is ugly. It will do the plastic tape more damage in some cases that it is worth to get it off or try and mask with some type of oil.

Use a stiff toothbrush--slurry out of baby oil and baby powder.
Let sit for a few hours then a little more scrubbing---rinse with Dawn water. Repeat if required-----DON'T ASK ME HOW I KNOW THIS!!!!!!!!

I had that happen with the ADD bumper on my super duty. So what I did is I got some Krylon Fusion Satin Black and sprayed it on a microfiber towel and then rubbed it gently on the bumper. It matched perfectly and no more white junk on my textured PC.

I would take it back too. They messed it up doing a detail, they need to take the crap off. If they won't I would agree a Magic Eraser would probably do it too
