Kaiser or anyone else... Did you figure out the socket size yet? I don't have anything big enough and auto zone doesn't have a loaner set that big.

It is 27 or 29mm, I can't remember for sure. I did mine with the shocks on the truck.

Did everyone just toss the retaining screw they pulled out before moving the ring up?
