I have right at 8k and only have two issues:
Passenger seatbelt (part in between seat and console) squeaks
-Fixed, I think. Time will tell.
Switch panel in driver's door rattles
-Fixed for sure

2011 Screw
7070miles as of 17 March 2011

Concern: Clunk/drive train binding started at roughly 700 miles
Resolved: Not yet but, it has thus far been covered under warranty. Dealer lubed the slip yoke which provided relief for two weeks/1500 miles...Hoping Ford will find a permanent fix before I crawl under the truck and fix it myself

Concern: Near fatal addiction to petroleum distillates that are consumed at a rate of 13 miles per gallon on average
Resolved: I'm not really concerned...13mpg is actually a 30% improvement over my '03 3/4-ton QuadCab Hemi 4x4 with the same daily routines.

Post here how many miles you have on your truck as of today and what problems you have encountered along the way. Also post the resolution to the problem to help consolidate the info for members searching!

2010 5.4 19,800 miles:

1. Problem: Truck entered limp home mode and the dash lit up with warning lights.

Outcome: TCM failure- Replaced TCM

2. Problem: Loud buzzing noise under glove box at high RPMs

Outcome: Heater hose restrictor broke apart-allowing coolant to rush in to the heater box- replaced restrictor.

3. Problem: Heated seat would not turn on, indicator light would flash on for a moment then shut off.

Outcome: Heated seat pad short circuited and burned seat core- replaced heated seat pad and seat foam core.

4. Problem: Brakes squealing at slow speeds

Outcome: Greased brake calipers

5. Problem: Leaf springs creaking over bumps

Outcome: Greased leaf spring contact pads(several times, done at oil change intervals)

Ive got a loud buzzing comming from under my Groin area.....
Outcome: Sphynctor hose restricted not allowing shit to tumble out of my ass....bhwahhaah:poop:

Haahaahaa! Good one BDRAG! No, no crack smokin' here. Honest to goodness, the ole' 5.4L is getting great mileage. I do travel a back road to work and average a speed of 50 mph. Did make a trip to Denver last weekend and make it a point to check mileage. Last tank of 26 gallons went 423 miles and filled with 24.2 gallons......comes out to 17.52 mpg.

Granted, when I play and play hard, I fall to high 14's but that is acceptable in my mind.

HEY! So I see your a Senior Ford Guy. Will you tell Ford something for me please. I did some driving lights over the last 2 days. One day, 8 - 10 hours fabricating mounts by hand and drilling here and there and on and off with it and fiting here and there.

Then today I go to do the Shunted wire thing. OH MY GAWD! Why THE HELL didn't Ford just put some single plugs on the wires and let you plug them in instead of making you TRY and get your hands in and under and then trying to splice wires and solder and GAWD! Then one set of lights didn't work and I freaked. Pulled all the dash apart and stripped off the heat shrink to find I had done it correct! SHIT! I had put a fuse in line for the ops check and it was only a 1 amp fuse. DOH! HAhahaaaaaa. All for NOT!

So please ask ford to spend $10 more bucks in Mexico on each truck and have a few plugs added to the wiring harness please! HAhahaaaaaa. Vent! Rant! HAHahaaaaaaa. Still better than some of the wiring I have done in the past though.......
