I got first on the pre-orders list, $5000 down payment, and then purchased the whole damn thing special ordered without ever seeing one in person or driving one. My first 2017 Raptor drive was when I drove my new toy off the lot.

Add me to the list... Man was it worth it. I did think it died leaving the dealer at the stop sign.... I know about the Auto On/Off but still freaked me out.

It better not have any miles on it, when I take delivery! Lol. Custom order! I'll consider it used!

They offered to let me test drive the grey truck I bought, but I had him grab the keys to a white Raptor instead..... didn't want to get mine dirty

I never test drove my 2010 Raptor, so I doubt I will test drive my Gen 2. Of course, I am waiting for the V8, so I may never drive one.

I guess my story is the opposite. Went to local lot and they let me drive one, then we talked, not paying over MSRP- left it on the lot! They claim to have buyers at their 10K over MSRP. Funny tho, called me next day and offered it at MSRP, still sitting on lot a month later.

When I finally managed to make a deal for a truck, I put down $500 for "right of first refusal." After it showed up at the dealership, I gave the truck a 5 min. drive just to make sure there were no problems with it, especially with the transmission.
