Hey all.

Just curious how the engine is holding up over a few miles and wondering who has anything of note to report for engines / transmissions past 100k. Anything been going wrong? Any special tips to get there outside of regular fluid changes?

I searched the forums a bit but I wasn't finding too much about those reporting of their higher mileage trucks, maybe there aren't too many out there.?

Thanks!

No news is good news but not a lot of the Gen 2 have gone over 100K.

Countless F150s with 3.5 ecoboost with over 100k out there, there were 84 4x4 F150s for sale with the v6 turbo on autotrader with over 200k miles when I just looked.

Good question! Im looking to buy my first raptor(gen2). I saw a few but the one I really like has over 100k miles. Any suggestions on what I should look out for?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Does "one I really like" mean "mileage is high enough that it's at the top of my budget range?" ...not like there aren't hundreds of low mileage trucks available.

A truck with 100K miles in ~four years is going to be mostly highway so not really much to look out for beyond basic maintenance being kept up. The trucks don't have any real smoking guns (like rod bearings or oil consumption) to be aware of.

Realjones88,
Thanks for your reply. I really never looked at it that way but yes you are right. Price is where I can afford it.
And your right, more than likely they are highway miles.
