How long does it take to get a built date?

Its been little over 2 weeks since I made the order for a 2013 ..

My sales person told me the order went thru 2 days later... its all most 3 weeks and still didnt get my built date..

Does it take this long?


Do u guys think I will get my truck this year? ...Lol

Took me about 2 months, ordered August 21 just got my order pulled last night. So a week shy of two months and honestly I feel lucky it was that quick. I'm pretty sure there's members on here that have been waiting since July for a vin and are still waiting. So good luck

There really isnt a set time limit. Honestly, from order to delivery you could expect 2-4 months. I got mine in 2 months and 3 days.

You just dont know though. There are too many factors that go into it. You need your dealer # and order # and there are some folks (blood) on here than can help you out with details.

It took me 18 weeks to get a build date (ordered a '12 first, then had to re-order a '13). I am still about 3 weeks away from production, and perhaps 3 or 4 weeks transit time. So yeah, I will be at about the 6 month mark by the time my truck arrives.

Correct, there are numerous factors that determine when Ford will pull your dealer's order. I'm going on 15 weeks and still no build date in sight. The wait is agonizing to say the least!

There's a lot of talk on here about wait times being so long. There are A LOT that were orders for 2013's that were placed as soon as the order bank opened up, when it was well known that the first 2013's wouldn't be built until late September earliest. I don't think it makes sense to count that as waiting for those weeks, when it was known they weren't going to be built then.

What I'm curious about is how long it takes for orders that were placed after the 2013's were already being built (versus those pre-orders for the new model year when the previous model year was still on the lines), and once the backlog of early orders is/was cleared out.

Same as above, ordered mine 8/21. Dealer gave me my build date and VIN today.

I put down my deposit on 7/5, still no build date. Dealer wont give me DORA either.

If I understand you correctly, you are upset that you ordered 2 weeks ago have not received a build date yet? I ordered on 7/11 and still nothing. You will prob not get your raptor until x-mas, if you are lucky.

Shoot ! ... I better look for a clunker... already sold my car a month ago.. and driving this rental thinking I would only need it for 2 months...Lol

allocation my A$$... told me 6-8 weeks...

Guess my wait is nothing compare to u guys that are still waiting..
