How in the world did Ken Grody Ford get so many Raptor R's?

I walked into Ken Grody in Buena Park in 2019 to order my raptor, inquired about some minor upgrades, one of which was painting the fender flares to match the truck color . They quoted me $7500 just to paint the flares. Not to mention the ADM of $10k to $20k, at a time when no one was selling above MSRP. Turned around and walk out and never looked back. Ended up getting my truck from another dealer in San Diego. They think they can charge these ridiculous prices because they are one of the biggest Ford dealers in SoCal.

It's laughable how they put the "KG Custom" after everything and think they can mark it all up 1000%

Ironically the truck I have was originally purchased from KG, but I got it used off my friend who bought it there. I'm sure my friend got it for some sort of promotional deal he worked out with them, he gets all sorts of shit given to him just so he can post about and marketing for them.

I can't stand Ken Grody. Pricing is always ridiculous for the specialty Fords they have. They told me 35k over on a V6 Raptor. o_O
Santa Margarita is my local dealership, just a few miles from my house. They said $25K over. These dealers do get a lot of customers and buy the allocations, at a markup, off other smaller dealers.

I ordered mine from Chino Hills. Great dealership, no games. They always had the correct, most up to date info on my truck's location during the build and shipping process, ETAs were always spot on. Truck arrived last Monday, but I was out of town so picked it up on Saturday. I didn't inquire too much into a Raptor R as it was out of my budget, but they said their first allocation went for $50k over. They had at least one more, offer to me at a much lower ADM, but again MSRP was out of my budget so anything over was a definite no go. And they were very busy when I went there, so maybe people in Orange County and Riverside are tired of dealers like Ken Grody at play all these games.

Not sure how they get so many but my dads been trying to buy a gen 3 from them for awhile but refuses to pay their ridiculous ADM. They did just do this to his 2018 while servicing it last week...

Damn…they damaged something on the last visit my truck was in. What are they doing for you? If you wanna PM to keep it off the forum, please do..but check out these sticker prices!! These aren’t the modified ones from KG customs either, just straight marked up $35k! $95k for a 7300 mile 2021 35” low options.

Those ADM's are insane! Last I heard, my dad was taking his in this week to an autobody shop to have it fixed and they are paying for it 100%. We'll see how it comes out but he's going to demand perfection and just be a pain in their ass so hopefully they deal and get rid of him lol. He is trying to use it as a way to get into a new Raptor but I don't think they are going to play ball...

It’s just negligent really that they continuously damage vehicles. I hope it works out for him

I have bought countless vechiles from KG for our company, but in the last 5 years really have changed. When I was looking for my Raptor, my fleet guy wouldn't budge 1 cent of the 25K ADM - So I found it elswhere for sticker. Sadly though they get enough people paying ADM that they do not care. As far as being the #1 dealer, they do this by buying stock from all the other dealers at retail, so in their mind the ADM is just their markup. Its gotten ridculous. There service deptartment is even worse. Tons of minor things on my raptor they cannot figure out how to fix. On my 3rd seat cover as I keep getting this wrinkle line. I love my Raptor, but with all the minor issues I have been having and their inablility to fix really makes me want to off load it. Maybe it's time for electric ;)
