I have a crazy question what runs the navigation/ By that I mean how does it work. I am having an extremely difficult time with Sirus radio. Does the navigation need Sirus radio to operate properly? What I am thinking is doing away with the Sirus radio and just use the FM channels and my iphone for my music. I am totally feed up with Sirus radio. Will the navigation work properly this way? :flame:

Sirius is just satellite radio, it has no impact on NAV. NAV works based on maps and GPS coordinates relayed to/from satellite. While they both use a satellite, they are independent of each other.

I let Sirius expire and just use Pandora through Sync.

Thanks I greatly appreciate the information. I'm going to tell Sirus radio goodbye. :banana-mario:

I love my nav system. I have everything linked through sirius but dont really think its worth the cost. I can check the weather on my phone faster and easier, and gas prices dont matter. You gotta pay it no matter what.
