Alright so what if I bought a used raptor from Canada and it's pretty rusty. Can any of these applications be applied to existing rust and stop it or no. What are my options ?

So I'm wondering in advance of my purchase just what everyone does to prevent rust on their underbellies? We have calcium chloride sprayed on our roads and is turning my 03' F350 into a rust bucket. Undercoating, Fluid Film, Playdough? What says the Illuminati?
Right after I bought the truck, I took it to my linex guy and he did a Full rubber undercoat.

I used Fluid Film on my Super Duty and it’s good stuff, however; it is like spraying oil on the bottom of your vehicle. Everything will stick to it. Something to think about if you plan on off-roading etc.

POR 15 is another good option.

If you could post a few pics when you have a chance I would deeply appreciate it.

Fluid film is very common at Bonneville, seems to work.

My grandfather used to spray the frame and undercarriage of all his stuff with diesel out of a weed sprayer, living in Moab the blow sand would stick to it and made a rigid, permanent goop. He did it a few times over the first year he owned whatever and I own 2 of his vehicles now. No rust on the frames, but it really sucks to clean off when you need to undo a bolt or something.

I bought my Gen 1 used, it was originally a Canadian truck, original owner had the underside/backside of the body panels bed lined (I think he may have owned a shop), its rust free.

salt is a killer... I used to live in PA and NJ.. all of my cars got rust.. there is so much salt dust flying around the roads, its impossible to treat everything.. I live in Seattle now.. no rust... been here for 15 years.. none of my cars has rusted. its fantastic. When I lived back east.. I would buy a winter beater. its the only way to eliminate the issue.
